Group 4 – Sound
God created with sound. Jesus Christ came as the Word. The Battle of Armageddon will be won with sound.
Scattered in and amongst those epic events, are myriad local battles with sound and about sound.
Clearly there will be sound in the overt teaching. But the spiritual sound in the auditory sound and around the event will have a huge impact on the level of transformation that takes place.
Here are the prayer strategies we used to get ready for that event.
Prayer Strategies
Strategy #1
I dream.
What if we had 1,000 people who would just focus on sanctifying sound for one year in advance of an event. What immense thing would occur?
Dunno.
But for this one, with ten people praying for three months, we are going to give it a big, hard push and see what we can do.
Three assignments for this first round.
1) Identify your important sound.
When I was a teen, we had a recording by a symphony orchestra and the piccolo player was a bit flat at one point. Dad groused about that EVERY SINGLE TIME. I doubt I could find a piccolo in an orchestra with my eyes, never mind my ears.
By contrast, I love the sound of a grey wolf howling on a moonlit night. And my cardinals chirping their valiant approval when I am reading Scripture on the back porch. And a mountain stream burbling over rocks.
2) Listen to two audio clips from the Sapphire Blessings App.
These are the first two clips on cleansing land. They were released on September 16th and 23rd.
Get a clear sense in your own mind of what authority you have, in order to deal with sound in the atmosphere, the land, the building and my voice.
Then consider what lifestyle choices you have made in the past that have contributed to your authority today.
Finally, decide if there is anything you want to do differently in the next 90 days to increase your authority for this assignment.
Work through it for yourself, so you are clear on the concept.
3) Think through Scripture for sound that moves you.
For me, nothing can top God telling the creation story to Moses. Think of the body language, the facial expressions, the changing intensity and intonation of God’s voice. Absolutely a staggeringly immense event.
Revelation 15 moves me too. All the martyrs from the Tribulation singing the Song of Moses in heaven in order to turbocharge the judgment on the beast who killed them. That just grips me.
The 144,000 accompanied by the orchestras of heaven, singing the Song of the Ages INTO THE ANTICHRIST’S FACE.
In the midst of all those massive stories, I also am moved by the light touch.
Jesus cutting through all of Mary’s pain and busted theology with just two syllables spoken in the key of LOVE.
Elijah doing the Alpha-Male-on-Red-Bull thing at Mt. Horeb and God absolutely refusing to play his game. He came with a still, small voice to say, “Dude, I know you don’t believe it, but your world would be a better place with a F.R.I.E.N.D. and I have been preparing one for you.”
And then there is the whole content of sound issue.
NEVER HAVE I EVER heard a sermon on this verse, but it IS in the Bible and I do like it for some strange reason. "To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands: I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked men, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false.” Revelation 2:1-2 NIV
I find profound dignity in John 6:44 NIV. "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. . .” This is like God COMING to Cain after his first mess up and saying, “Son, we can fix this. It isn’t hard. Let me help you.” GOD chased me down when I was a chump of a loser. THAT is a lot of dignity.
So Group 4, please spend some serious quality time on this assignment. Sound is a powerful variable in the Cleansing Our Fractals of Time event. I don’t need you to just obey my instructions.
I want you to light a fire in your heart and mind for this assignment. Find your sweet spot. Soak in it. Make the idea of YOUR changing the quality of the sound at Shelby come alive, so all the rest of the assignments are driven by a spirit on fire, not a mind in gear.
Strategy #2
This assignment on sound is simple.
The land has thousands of years of human sound imprinted on creation. Spend some time in the app, listening to October 7th audio on Cleansing the Past.
Then scrub down the land where we will be, covering the LAND under the entire campus.
Then move to the venue, dealing with our room, all the public spaces including the parking lots – lower and upper – and the bathrooms, giving them a good scrub down from defiled human and demonic sound, from all the prior people and animals on that land.
Pray until you feel release in your spirit. That does not mean the place is clean. It means your part of the scrub down is done.
Each of you brings a unique authority. No one has to do it all.
One of the tools I use is simply listening. I ask the Lord to put me there to “hear” a sound. I immediately heard the shrill, harsh voice of a mother, shrieking at her kids, shaming them.
Makes sense that God would give that to me. I care about generational dignity.
Another time I heard an animal screaming with pain as it was killed by another animal. And another time, I heard the tectonic plates grinding and the terror of all of creation on the surface over what was coming.
So listen, scrub, rest and repeat until there is only stillness when you ask God to let you hear.
Strategy #3
Your task this time is mundane – the sound system and the recording.
Megan will be running it, and she has a lot of experience in that regard. We are using our own system that has never been used for trash which really changes the spiritual dynamics of the system.
There is a wrinkle though, and that is that due to the large venue, we are going to go with four speakers instead of two. Megan has ordered and received the new speakers. We have never used this configuration before, so she will be managing a new layout.
On January 10th, the room will be vacant and she will have a chance to take all the equipment, set it up and test it. This will be a critical time, where a lot of calibrations can be made to accommodate the unique acoustics of that event. Unfortunately, those calibrations will be made with no bodies in the room, so they are not really legit.
When the event starts, I will be on stage talking to people generally, visiting on the soul level in part, to give her time to calibrate the sound. So wherever you are in the world, set an alarm for 8:50 a.m. on the 4th, and lean in for Megan’s fingers and Joyce’s ears as Joyce wanders around the room and tests the sound for Megan.
If there is a glitch, Megan has time to engage with the supplier and find out how to fix it.
Joyce will be going with Megan. Joyce is a new hire, and is Megan’s assistant, so will be working with her in set up. Joyce has worked in a church with sound system liaison, so she brings some skill and knowledge to the table. Still, it is a new system to her and a new teamwork with Megan.
Pray into that human alignment.
Then, assuming the venue does not have an event on Friday night the 3rd, Megan and Joyce will be setting everything up the night before. Otherwise, early Saturday morning.
Historically, the sound system has been one of the biggest points of conflict with me and Megan. She buys higher and higher quality equipment, but the stuff ends up being as temperamental as a junior higher.
My mantra is that equipment is SUPPOSED TO SERVE ME. But over and over again, we end up with glitches where I have to serve the equipment. So, for example, there are feedback spots, and we end up with gaffer’s tape on the ground, so I know I can’t walk down the left aisle beyond row 17 because the system will squall.
It would be a dream and a half, if I could focus 100% on the Kingdom of God and not have to babysit my mic!
This will be recorded. Pray not only for the people in the room, but for the mechanics of every single session. We have had events where someone failed to push one button at the start of an event and one session was not recorded, so we had to ditch the whole thing.
Not fun.
