The Fullness of God
Why do we take Holy Communion?
For years, I saw it as reaffirming the blood covenant we have with Jesus Christ. I saw that covenant as giving us specific legal rights in dealing with the devil and his minions. And I still believe that.
But salvation is more than a legal construct. It is a life flow construct. The life of God is supposed to flow to us and through us to others.
And I am seeing Holy Communion as one of the ways God mediates the life of Christ to us.
Thus, each time the Lord quickens a passage to me, relative to the life of God flowing to and through us, I will record a new Communion service.
