His Presence in Brain Rot

You have brain rot when you do something stupid, and then you do something stupider to fix the stupid.  The downward spiral in Romans 1 leads to some pretty grim ending points.  Click here to check out the search engine if this is new to you.

You can also watch a video on the topic by clicking here.

But if you think watching someone you love spiral down the self-destructive slope, consider it nationally.

Israel lost 4,000 men in a single battle with the Philistines.  So, they took the Ark of the Covenant out of the Tabernacle, into the battle field as a lucky charm.

Title Quote 2

Brain rot.

Didn’t work.

The Philistines got the Ark and 30,000 Israelites died.  And Eli the coward, and his two reprobate sons.  And a daughter-in-law who died in childbirth, bitterly naming her son, “The glory has departed.”

Ya think???!!!!

Brain rot will do that to an individual or a nation.

But here is the kicker.  Although the glory departed, God did not.

He had started decades earlier, strategically positioning Samuel.  Meanwhile, hidden away in the tiny Mercy tribe, He was raising the future king, in a close knit, loving family, out of sight of the social media, the Tabernacle and the Philistines.

Not to mention that God was also already preparing to birth Saul’s replacement, who would bring the glory back.

So how about you?

Did stupid lead to unthinkable and to the drastic loss of the glory of God in your life?

Tragic. On an existential level.

But if The Presence is still brooding over your life, albeit from a bit of a distance . . .
