Gaslighting in Church

Spiritual leaders aren’t always right. This explores how God sorted out a huge gaslighting project in Scripture.

In this video we explore how both the predator and the victim can be wrong – in different ways. Then there is the issue of how to engage with the spiritual leader who is gaslighting and how to handle the vicious blowback when you don’t submit to it.

But most important in this process is seeing yourself from God’s point of view. We examine in detail the areas where the victim needed to grow, and the areas where the predator was attacked by God.

It is often not possible to “resolve” gaslighting by an authority. But the principles from Scripture give a very solid road map for navigating the brutality of a man who claims to speak for God when he is gaslighting you.

Those are the toughest ones.
