Brain Rot
One of the most frustrating parts of mental issues is that the person whose brain is not functioning fully, often does not know that. Others around can perceive, but their self-awareness is compromised so they have no idea there is a deficit.
While we are quite familiar with this in a broad spectrum of organic issues, what is less known is the spiritual capacity of our thinking to deteriorate.
Let’s put it a different way. A person might start out with good acuity in both spiritual and secular thinking. A few decades later, their mental acuity in the physics field they work in is at the top of their trade, but their spiritual acuity is quite subpar.
That would not be immediately visible, since the scientific mind is working well.
This teaching explores what happens to cause the spiritual mind to develop or to regress on a separate trajectory from the soul’s mind.
