Illness and injuries cause obvious alienation from body parts. But emotional experiences can do that too. This class reconnects what life has bruised.
For the most part, we take reconciliation with our body for granted. When you have a nasty cold, your nose will become your enemy because it hurts from being blown and wiped so often. You heal from the cold virus, and you become reconciled with your nose when it no longer hurts.
This is a very ordinary process and most alienations are brief and resolve without attention. But some don’t. And for those, some specialized skill sets can help make you a whole person again.
