The hardest things to find are those that are not there.  When interviewing for employment it is not too hard to find the problems resulting from damage in the course of life.  And these should be exposed.

However, often the largest problem is with an employee who failed to receive appropriate nurture as a child.  Those undeveloped areas do not show up easily in the job interview, but they do manifest in a person’s inability to work effectively in community.

This album covers the seven areas of the parenting process that each person should go through.  There are a series of questions that can be asked to find out what is missing that the other individual does not even know is missing.

While this teaching was designed for use in the HR department, the tools are equally applicable for understanding one’s own deficits, as well as providing a road map for the nurture of your children or your team.

In short, it has universal application since the nature of our fathering will affect each one of us when we attempt to do community.

This album was released in 2013.

This is a two CD set.

This is an album which I have listened to a couple of times. Each time parts of my parenting improves and I gain more insight into the parenting I received. People in the workplace come into focus and I have a better set of skills to interview prospects and to handle those employees and colleagues which I already have. Great, compact tool!

Strong Tool for Life in General

Even though this is Arthur's brilliant and incisive (and very practical) teaching on how to assess potential employees for placement, I have listened to it often as a metric for How To Be A Grownup. Arthur talks about all the unconscious ways that we reveal our hidden childhood wounds in day-to-day living, and how we can analyze & help an employee or other person navigate and succeed in different areas, after identifying their particular wounds. I find myself assessing MY ability to "do life," and using his metrics on myself as a point of further maturing.

I have also used this at our church - it has been SO HELPFUL in directing volunteers into areas where they can actually help, & not hinder, the different ministry areas. I've used it with our healing prayer team, to help them into positioning that can bring them strength & the ability to succeed, in spite of whatever hidden childhood baggage they still have. I think every church staff should listen to this, to help in making wise choices when working with people, either hired or volunteer.

I will also say that it was very enjoyable to hear Arthur's "inside stories" of how he has handled employees over the years at SLG. With stars like Megan and Serina, who have mastered the art of implementation AND maturity, and the way the company works as a strong, HEALTHY family, building up each of the staff without compromising quality or reality, I find myself hungry to understand how they got there, and what it looks like to build business excellence and personal dignity simultaneously. So listening to some of Arthur's sharing of the inside scoop on these CDs has been delightful. I strongly recommend this album, for developing acumen in relating to those you might work with, but also acumen for life in general.
